The Skin & Laser Clinic in Woking, Surrey was set up by Kelly Harding and Amanda Walker.

Both Kelly and Amanda have a great passion for making people feel and look at their best. Kelly has over eight years experience as an aesthetician and now specialises in Laser, IPL and advanced skin treatments. Amanda has over ten years experience in personal training and lifestyle consultancy and has been running Walker Fitness, a very successful mobile personal training company, for over six years.

Kelly and Amanda have fused their knowledge and expertise to open The Skin & Laser Clinic, combining the very latest technology in skin and laser treatments, lifestyle and fitness advice to offer clients throughout Surrey, Hampshire and London.

The Skin & Laser Clinic also has an expert medical team for injectable treatments, psychotherapy, hypnotherapy and counselling. Both our Doctor and Psychotherapist have a number of years experience between them and work to the highest level of professionalism.

OUR Laser/IPL hair removal

Laser hair removal is safe, fast and very effective. Recent advances in Laser technology have made it possible to permanently reduce unwanted hair quickly and easily. We are able to treat the majority of skin types using our state of the art Lumina system. Almost everyone is a good candidate for hair removal; you do not need to apply creams or gels to the area before treatment, you also do not need to grow the hair before it being treated which so many people find difficult with waxing.

Areas of unwanted hair are treated using a beam of laser light that is readily absorbed by the melanin (pigment) in the hair shaft and surrounding hair follicles; this light travels to the bottom of the follicle and disables it so the hair can no longer grow. During your treatment your skin will be cooled using our Cryo 6 machine that blows very chilled air onto your skin to minimize discomfort and protect the surface layers of skin.

Everybody’s hair grows in cycles that consist of three stages anagen, catagen and telogen the anagen stage is where the hair is fully attached to the base of the hair follicle, this is the stage of growth that we can treat with the laser. Because only 20-30% of your hairs are in this stage of growth at one time, a minimum of six treatments are needed to ensure a complete clearing of hair is achieved. Depending on what area of the body you are having treated determines how long you will need to leave between treatments but usually we leave 4 weeks between treatments for facial areas and 5-6 weeks for the body, this is because the hair growth cycle completes quicker on the face than on the body.
