About Hyde Park Clinic

Hyde Park Clinic was founded in 2008 following the merger of Plymouth’s Aesthetic Beauty Clinic and Tavistock’s Stannary Clinic. The aim is to offer a holistic service, focusing on non surgical cosmetic medical treatments, enhanced by many complementary services ranging from beauty therapy to colonic irrigation for a true whole body experience!

The Clinic was founded and is led by a local doctor and nurse team, Dr Graham Johnson and Wendy Beresford-Ward. At the heart of the business is the provision of laser and intense pulsed light (IPL) therapies for a variety of cosmetic skin problems.

On the Aesthetic front, our medical personnel and highly trained beauty therapists are able to bring about spectacular cosmetic changes without having to resort to the knife. Laser and Intense Pulsed Light will remove unwanted hair and combat a variety of skin problems; while our range of Rejuvenating Injections will banish facial wrinkles and grooves. Microdermabrasion is available to re-invigorate and freshen up your complexion. An extensive range of Beauty Treatments provide the icing on the cake, and can be enjoyed either as stand alone services or as part of a package of Aesthetic Medical treatment.

Our Complementary Therapists offer a wide range of services, including Colonic Irrigation, Indian Head Massage, Hypnotherapy, Bowen Technique and Sports Physiotherapy – in no particular order – with more destined to arrive in the near future. All our therapists are registered with their respective regulatory bodies.

All treatments are available in isolation of course, but by combining Complementary and Aesthetic treatments we are confident you will be able to enjoy a sense of well being not easily attainable at most aesthetic clinics or health centres.

Hyde Park Clinic has undergone (successfully) a rigorous appraisal and approval process by the Care Quality Commission – this is a government body that has held the responsibility of regulation of healthcare establishments since 2002 (prior to 2009 as the Healthcare Commission), to ensure that high clinical standards are achieved and maintained in the private and public sectors.
