Feel Younger would like to welcome you and take this opportunity to highlight some of our basic principles and practices relating to the treatments that we are proud to offer.
Your wellbeing is our primary concern and our entire approach in finding the most appropriate course of treatment for you revolves around assessing your specific needs and state of health, as well as ensuring and managing realistic expectations.
We take time in your first consultation: this allows us to properly discuss with you what it is exactly that you are looking to achieve. In some cases, it may be that cosmetic surgery treatment is not the answer and if that were to be the case, we would of course take care to explain the reasons and suggest alternate sources of assistance. We will always endeavour to ascertain wherever possible in the first consultation the type of treatment that would be most relevant to your specific needs and health, and guide you through that process. As we take great care and time in such consultations, we reluctantly have to make a small charge for this valuable time where you are seen by a consultant plastic surgeon.
Our surgery and treatments are provided by an accredited and experienced consultant plastic surgeon with over 15 years experience in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in the NHS. The last five years as a consultant in the NHS and the private sector in the UK (where he also trained and qualified). He is also the founder of Feel Younger.
We will naturally offer you all the support you need before, during and after the treatment that you may receive. We of course always operate in accredited centres of excellence supported by professional nursing care, and follow the department of health doctrine on the informed consent and related issues.
HAIR REMOVAL TREATMENT
Traditional unwanted hair removal routines can become extremely tedious and costly over time, therefore laser hair removal can be an ideal option to achieve longer lasting results. Re growth is slower with a less coarse and dense appearance and is suitable for use on small or large areas of hair. Excessive hair growth is also known as Hirsutism, affecting approximately 10% of women aged 18-35. This can be particularly distressing when occurring on the face or body, so depilation by laser is often a good option to help. Hair removal by laser is applicable to most skin types (including dark and tanned skin) and for use all over the body. During the treatment, the laser releases pulses into the hair follicle via the skin, destroying the follicle and preventing re growth.
WHAT TO EXPECT
The treatment may feel slightly uncomfortable, perhaps similar to an elastic band snapping on the skin. Some localized swelling , tenderness or redness of the area may be experienced for up to 24 hours. Some hairs may disappear during treatment, and others which have been made to curl up by the laser will fall out later. Several treatments are normally required over a year to obtain the best results, and the effectiveness also depends on factors such as hair colour and skin tone. For any further information discussion with the surgeon is recomended.
