Who performs Laser Hair Removal at Brighton Laser & Skin Clinic?
Laser Hair Removal at the clinic is performed by Deborah Peebles, Sarah Williams & Dr Fiona Emerson in our purpose designed treatment rooms. If you would like to know more about our clinical team then you can read all about our practitioners on our clinical team page.
How does it work?
The laser destroys hairs by selectively targeting the dark black pigment present in hair follicles. This pigment is called melanin and is responsible for giving hair and skin its natural colour. When the laser is fired, the laser light penetrates the skin and gets rapidly absorbed by the dark pigment (melanin) present in the hair follicle and shaft. The energy from the laser causes the hair to heat up and causes thermal damage to the hair and the surrounding structures responsible for hair growth; the bulb, bulge and vascular supply to the hair.
How much does it cost?
The prices for laser hair removal depend largely on the size of the area to be treated, the density of the hair in the area and the amount of practitioner time required for each treatment session. The prices below can be used as a general guide of how much your treatment will cost but don't forget that we also offer significant discounts for multiple areas and pre-paid packages which will be be discussed with you at the time of consultation.
