Welcome To East Midlands Laser And Cosmetic Clinic

East Midlands Laser and Cosmetic Clinic is a Nurse-led clinic where all treatments are performed by a team of highly experienced and qualified nurses.

“We aim to deliver a discreet and confidential service to all our clients”

Our team all have a wealth of experience in treating patients with a variety of skin conditions and cosmetic requirements.

We are based in the centre of Mansfield on the first and second floor of 17 Bridge Street. The building is early 18th century and has a homely warm “oldé worldé” feel about it with its solid oak beams and masses of character. The waiting room is on the first floor where you can enjoy a hot drink whilst relaxing watching the SKY TV, DVD or reading. Partners and children are welcome to come along and wait whilst your treatment is being carried out. The second floor houses our two treatment rooms. These modern air conditioned rooms are naturally bright and comfortable. They accommodate the comfortable electronic couches and equipment that are essential for you to relax whilst being treated.

Our clinic Manager is Karen Lewis RGN, Bsc (Hons), who is a qualified nurse with 20 years of experience. She has been working within the Laser and cosmetic field for several years and has treated patients of all skin types. Karen is also an accredited trainer for one of the UK’s leading laser suppliers and is accredited with the BTEC Advanced Award - “Principles of Laser, Light & Associated Therapies”.

Our other members of staff are fully qualified to carry out treatments offered within the clinic; certificates are available to view at any time.

We are a Health Care Commission registered clinic. All of our clients can have the reassurance of knowing we ensure that all the latest Health and Safety procedures, insurances, patient care plans and treatments records are up to date. These procedures are performed in a professional, clinical environment.

We are open seven days a week and late evenings in order to meet client needs. The clinic is situated on the edge of a busy town centre offering a wide range of shops and amenities. There is ample public car parking and an excellent local transport network. We are also close to the M1 and A1 motorways.

OUR Laser Hair Removal
Safe and effective treatments
East Midlands Laser & Cosmetic Clinic uses the most advanced laser technology cleared by the FDA for permanent hair reduction, safely and effectively treating all ethnic origins and skin types including tanned skin.

Treatments that really work
Laser energy is absorbed by the pigment in the hair follicle while your hair is in its anagen, or active phase of growth.: The laser energy is converted into heat, causing thermal damage to the follicle without harming the surrounding tissue. Hair re-growth is impeded in the damaged follicle.

Average treatment series
Only 30% or less of your hair may be in the active growth phase at any one time depending on the body area. Thus, a series of treatments will be required to achieve the long-term improvement you desire. These treatments are spaced approximately 4-12 weeks apart, based on anatomical position and hair growth cycles. Our extensive experience tells us that for course black hair you can expect to need from 3-8 treatments (6-8 is average) to each treatment area for long lasting, optimal results. Finer, Lighter colored hair needs more treatments.

Typical treatment sessions
Sessions for an upper lip or small bikini area can take as little as 15 minutes, while larger areas on back and legs may require up to 60 minutes or more.

How permanent is Hair Reduction?
The average patient in clinical studies sees a 48% reduction in hair growth after three treatments and up to an 80% lasting reduction after six to eight treatments (results vary). After you have completed a series of four to six treatments, any remaining hair will usually be finer and lighter in colour. Most patients require one or two touch-up treatments per year. Blond, platinum, most red, gray and vellus hair will not respond to this treatment.
